“X-Men: Days of Future Past” Movie Is Finally Happening! Yay!

I remember watching the "Uncanny X-Men" cartoon in the 90s and one of the episodes I liked back then was the "Days of the Future Past" series. If I can recall it correctly, the "Days of the Future Past" series is the one where future mutant Bishop traveled back in time during the heydays of the X-Men group to prevent an assassination that led to the production of Sentinels that affected much of the mutants in the future. Bishop, together with the help of X-Men, must find a way to stop the assassin who killed someone from the Washington D.C. (a higher official or so) where the production of Sentinels are believed to may been originated.

In the upcoming film directed by Bryan Singer, the “X-Men: Days of Future Pastmovie is said to be based on a classic two-issue comics tales that takes us to a bleak future where powerful machines overpower and vanquish the warm-blooded populace. It is not clear though if Bishop will be part of the said movie or will the movie include the 90s' episode of the "Uncanny X-Men" TV series, but one thing is for sure - director Bryan Singer confirmed a few months ago that a Quicksilver character will have a part in the said movie. Evan Peters is set to play the character Quicksilver.

Revealed in this year’s San Diego Comic-Con a few weeks ago are two teaser interfused posters of the movie featuring two of the greatest mutants ever to live in the X-Men universe. The promotional teaser posters of Professor X (shown above) and Magneto (left) are each inhabited by two actors – Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy melds as Professor X while Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender’s features are merged to become Magneto.

X-Men: Days of Future Past” is said also to star newcomers Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Boo Boo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Evan Peters, Adan Canto, Josh Helman, along with returning stars who will reprise their respective roles are Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry, Lucas Till, and Daniel Cudmore.

X-Men: Days of Future Past” is an upcoming film that will open on May 22, 2014 in the Philippines from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros. in theaters nationwide. If you are curious about the old "Uncanny X-Men" episodes for the "Days of the Future Past" series, posted below are parts 1 and 2 of the series. I will update you if I have found the rest of the episodes on YouTube. Enjoy!
