To tweet or not to tweet? That is the question!!!

A lot of people are still confused whether or not to tweet or not, so here's the a slight review of this free-service website! Apparently, a lot of bloggers are into twitter these days because they not only find twitter very useful in network socializing but also in increasing their blog visitors!

But if you have no idea what twitter is and what it can do to increase your blog visitors, well you have a come to right place because I will show you how effective the microblogging site, Twitter, in increasing your blog visit. But first of all, let me tell you something about twitter.

What is twitter?

If you have been twittering early last year or the year before that (I joined September 28, 2007), you would say that twitter.com is only a microblogging site, a website where you can put little updates on what's happening on you that will only last for 140 characters. When twitter was launched two years ago, it only aims to have an SMS-like blog updates for people who are a believer of procrastination, meaning, they don't like long blog posts entry or they don't want to write blogs at all so the only means for them to have an update and still connected with friends is through this microblogging site. Micro means mini, thus a short update of 140 characters is only up for grabs!

But if you have recently joined twitter, maybe, you are one of the bloggers who can see some potentials for an increase in blog visitors. In just a span of only 8-10 months (since I joined twitter), twitter has become a social networking device, a website where you can have online social interaction and at the same time increasing your blog visitors. Here's how it works:

Scenario #1: Say, you already joined twitter, and then you follow a certain twitter user (like me), and then I follow you. If you have a twitter update, say posted a link from your blog, and then I clicked it, now that's one visit count from me.

Scenario #2: Say, someone from twitter search has found what you have posted, and then he find your twitter postings interesting, and then he/she followed you on twitter, even if you don't find him/her twitter account very appealing, you did not follow this person, that's another count for your blog visitor.

Scenario #3: Now, multiply scenario's 1 and 2 to several times and imagine how lucky you are if you already have say... 100 followers... and everyone clicked your posted link... that's already 100 potential blog visits from your twitter followers alone!

Just recently, a celebrity twitter user named Ashton Kutcher (yes, the guy from "Dude, Where's my car?") aka @aplusk has already acquired more than 1 million followers in a head to head battle with CNN Breaking News' twitter account (@cnnbrk)! If Ashton Kutcher could have been a blogger himself... he would have more than 1 million visits a day! Now isn't that amazing?

You could have been someone like my new blogger friend @Jan_Geronimo of Sa Labas ng Mandaluyong fame where he posted some things that can shack you up while using twitter, or perhaps another twitter addict user @elmot of Animotivation who gave some signs that tells you you are a twitter addict. Both are already a certified twitter addict like me!

Well... if those were not enough explanations above, here is a list of some of the cool twitter apps that can make your twitter experience more fun and exciting!

Tweetvalue.com. Tweetvalue measures how much your twitter's profile worth. It changes from time to time, depending on your twitter update frequencies and followers. Currently, my twitter profile is $163.00!

epenis.nl. If you can't have a longer penis, maybe you can have a very long virtual penis using this independent twitter application. Just for the fun of it, you can enter your username on their website and click on measure! Hahahha... and finally we compare results! Lols!

Secrettweet.com. Is another independent twitter application that lets you twit anonymously! If you want to twit something and you don't want your followers to read them.. you can always do that at http://secrettweet.com/!!! No registration necessary and their service is FREE of charge!

Now, here are two funny videos about twitter! I found the first one on youtube and the second one video is from Ashton Kutcher's blahgirls.com website! Enjoy watching!

If the above reasons are STILL not enough... I don't know what are you up to! If you want to follow my tweets... you can always do that at http://twitter.com/yatotchronicles
... enjoy twitting!!!

A Tale of Judaism in the Philippines!

It was Thursday, April 16, when my friend and former officemate celebrated her 26th birthday, her last birthday as a single person, yeah she's going to be married in a few days time... when I finally met my calling. I know it was so revealing of me, I cannot commit myself to anyone, I am so loyal with my "chosen religion".

It was an emotion I cannot argue with myself. I must admit. I am one of those people who shows so much emotions whenever their "chosen religion" was being mentioned, brought to a pedestal or perhaps agitated with so much criticisms that you can or cannot imagine. I know. I am one of them. I mean who else can you blame?

Judaism in the Philippines is not really new, in fact, it has been living for quite some time now, giving believers their worthy cause. Some of them worship, others devout, while some people give their time and dedication on this. It's like people waiting in line, just to believe, screaming just to satisfy their curiosity and up to the point of fainting just to be recognized as a true blue believer... But I am not talking about Jews here, I am talking about the great lady actress herself... Ms. Judy Ann Santos.

A fan... no, a believer, yes! Judy Ann Santos or Juday or Judai is one great actress! Whoever will say negative comments here will be persecuted, accordingly! Waheehehehe... Who could not forget Mara Clara in the early 90's and the many movies, commercial endorsements and TV guestings she had made? And yes... the proposal of husband to be, Ryan Agoncillo. Aaaaawww...

As I said, don't you dare call me a fan... I am not... call me a believer! *raising both hands in the air while saying this line* And so the name Judaism or Judaismo in Filipino was originated. Now... who would have thought of that? Hahaha!

And now, for those who believe in her greatness, Ms. Judy Ann Santos... I ask of you... please... join us in our quest by spreading the word of Judaism in the Philippines! Haaaammmm... Haaaaaammmm....

Me and my officemate friend hailing to the great Judy Ann Santos as she was pictured in Bacolod Chicken Inasal ads in Trinoma. The famous hand hailing is also featured. Haaaammmm... Haaaaammm...

It's freaking hot in the Philippines!

And I'm in heat! (And no.. it's not something sexual!)

It's been more than two weeks already when I finally feel the scorching hotness of summer 2009, and the heat seems really pissing me off! I mean... it's soooo freaking hot I am very hesitant to move or work or even do chores at home because I would only produce five gallons of sticky perspiration. Who would want to experience that.. literally?

Time has really changed the earth... the summer atmosphere ten years ago was sooo freaking different than today... I remember I only experienced this kind of hotness in the atmosphere's temperature when I went to Ilocos Region last year. The scorching summer heat there was really something, no wonder they have sand dunes there!

Back in Manila, the temperature is ranging from 32-35 degrees Celcius! I think there was a time within a span of two weeks that the temperature went to a 37 degrees Celsius! Now that's freaking hot! I can't freak more because I might get sticky sweat!

Last Holy Week, a vacation time in the Philippines was really a sacrifice for us who stayed at home for four long days of no work. Our bungalow house experienced a really hot temperature... I actually thought I would die of dehydration. Luckily, water is actually my best friend when it comes to drinks! I just stuff myself with much water to replenish me and quench my thirst!

The two exhaust fans were running like crazy to release the heat from the inside of the house, three electric fans were also making us cool, and drinking cold water with ice (which makes the coldness redundant) were not cool enough to... well... cool us! That's how freaking hot the atmosphere was and is!

I think this hot weather temperature in Metro Manila has something to do with humidity. If you look in the sky, you would know that it's going to rain because of the dark thick clouds forming... but the thing is, the rain will not fall... (and the saddest part of it is) anytime! Mr. Webster has defined humidity as the wetness in the atmosphere — the thing that makes us feel the sticky sweat! Again, may I add... who wants to get a sticky sweat? Who?

It's been more than two weeks now and yet the scorching summer heat does not bring any rain in our place (I live north of metro manila)... I have receiving reports that there was precipitation in Makati and some other parts in the Philippines but in our place, there was none.

I never experienced taking a bath three times a day! This has happened to me last Holy Week vacation. I took a bath in the morning to refresh my body from last night's sleep, which by the way was so freakingly irritating because it was and is still hot. I also took baths during the afternoons and of course before I go to sleep. Now that the office work has finally resumed, I only now take two baths a day! That's two baths a day — before going at work and before going to sleep — because it soooo freakingly hot!

I wish it would rain this time or maybe later at night and tomorrow for the weekends to replenish the dried soil and plants and to become cooler when we go to sleep... haaayyss *sigh* can you actually count how many times I wrote the word "freaking"? I rest my case! Just ranting...

British Got Talent's Susan Boyle really got the talent!

British Got Talent's contestant Susan Boyle is simply astounding in her performance version of the song "I Dreamed a Dream" from the popular stage musical Les Miserables! A lot of audience was simply amazed with her voice that really rocked the whole audition room! And oh yes... Simon Cowell was impressed with the performance! Susan Boyle became an instant hit in the web! Wanna know why? Just watch her video performance below and read all the comments that I have collected!

Susan Boyle Sings on Britain's Got Talent 2009 Episode 1 @ Yahoo! Video

Full version of the video can be found here. And a news article can be found on Yahoo! Buzz.

Here's some of the comments that I have collected from different sources about British Got Talent's Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed a Dream" performance:

• Who would have thought that this old woman who looks like Bellatrix Lestrange's closest ally would sound like a Broadway diva? The best, most heartwarming audition to a talent show I have ever seen. — sarcasmo (a multiply friend)

• I am not one to tear up and that got me . YOU ROCK SUSAN I will be waiting for your CD !!! — horsesnob (youtube commenter)

• (It) gave me goosebumps like never before... — a certain John from facebook

• Lesson learned, each individual possesses a unique talent within themself, we must allow those individuals to completely displayed their talent before we draw any conclusion. — visionoflove69 (youtube commenter)

Now here's the story behind Susan Boyle's success from TheUberDeeJay's channel on youtube.

The most stand out audition of the show was that of 47 year old Susan Boyle.

Susan first appeared with Ant and Dec declaring that she is a single woman who lives with her cat. Not only has she never been married but she also admitted that she had never even been kissed.

Susan looked like your typical batty old aunt, gold dress and all and when she walked on to stage you could just feel the scorn of the audience. Simon Cowell didnt look too hopeful when Susan Boyle said she wanted to be a professional singer like Elaine Paige and when she said she would be singing I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables.

But then Susan sang and the amazement of the crowd was clear. It was the type of audition that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck and the tears well in your eyes,

It certainly had that effect on Amanda Holden. Piers Morgan called the performance stunning and Simon told Susan she was a little tiger. She seemed a bit baffled by the description.

Now... aren't you impressed? I'm touched... really... I was teary-eyed most when one of the judges, Pier Morgan told Susan Boyle that "this is the biggest YES I have ever given in three years season of this show... (not sure about the exact wordings though but something to this effect will do... hehehe...)" This was better than Paul Pot's and Charlie Green's performance! Cheers to you Susan Boyle and follow your dream on becoming a diva!

A blogger friend's stand on Climate Change a.k.a Global Warming!

A multiply blogger friend and former officemate, ylron, posted a very nice article on what he thinks climate change is... and I think he had enough of the global warming drama. According to him, the climate change, also known as Global Warming, is the "most commercialized" natural phenomena. Well... admit it or not... people (that includes me, you and everyone else) really had a great affection on this climate change (global warming) thingies.

Ylron had pointed out three things on his article, so move over Chip Tsao (and his racist article) because this one really rocks — (1) that people are just too emotional on what climate change may bring to us in return; 2) he scientifically explained how climate change had affected the earth over a billion years of time; and (3) how ylron had scientifically (again) contradicted the Philippine government's stand on climate change.

Here's a snippet of what he had to say on climate change:
Climate change is inevitable. As well as its effects: increase in temperature, sea level, stronger typhoons, etc. We need not to enumerate them all cause it might just bore us. Technology gives birth to environmental problems. The more we advance, the more the Earth "suffers". Unless we are ready to give up all the technology we have, what we, as a country have to do is to adjust on its probable effects.

As of now the government's plan for climate change adaptation is this: lessen CO2 emission and develop alternative energy. There is nothing wrong with the government's plan. But personally, I think we need to change our priorities.

So for the complete article on his stand on climate change, you may want to go and click here. It is very much appreciated if you write your comments on his multiply blog entry. Or if you want, you may write your comments here and I'll just forward your comments to his email. Thank you.
