34th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2008) entries

Today, December 25, is the official simultaneous showing of the eight official film entries to the 34th Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2008. For ten days, that is from today up to January 3, 2009, only locally produced films will be shown all over the Philippines, ensuring a captive market for producers lucky enough to make the bucks. It is a tradition in the Philippines that every Christmas Day, only Filipino films are to be shown nationwide in a festival such as the MMFF 2008. An award-giving ceremony will follow through after the festival.

• Iskul Bukol: 20 Years Later by OctoArts, M-Zet Productions and APT Entertainment
• Magkaibigan by Maverick Films
• One Night Only by Canary Films
• Shake, Ratle and Roll X by Regal Entertainment, Inc.
• Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat by Star Cinema
