Because of this, beautiful actress Anne Curtis is in the hot seat right now because of her wardrobe malfunction last Sunday in the musical variety show ASAP XV on ABS-CBN. Three days after the said incident, actress Anne Curtis talks about her wardrobe malfunction on the said show during the Boracay special of ASAP XV.

If you still don't know, the Philippine Music Industry is now making waves with the creation of Pinoy Pop (P-Pop) in the Philippines. In the tradition of K-Pop (Korean Pop) and J-Pop (Japanese Pop) waves in Asia, Viva Entertainment, Inc., took a risk on pioneering (or should I say, reviving) the Pinoy Pop Sensation. If you still don't know again, the Viva Entertainment Group via the Viva Records and Viva Artists Agency, have already released their first P-Pop Warriors, Popgirls with their carrier single "Crazy, Crazy" (if you are not familiar with it, please click here). And now, Viva Records is finally releasing yet another P-Pop group that soon will dominate the airwaves... presenting the XLR8!
XLR8 is the newest addition to the Viva Entertainment Group of Talents alongside with Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo, Mark Bautista, and Ms. Sharon Cuneta. XLR8 is composed of Francis Ramos, Carlo Lazerna, Hideaki Torio, Caleb Santos, Arkin Del Rosario, Melmar Magno, Meljohn Magno and Adrian Muhlach (which I do not know who they are in the above picture! Yay!). The eight male singers of XLR8 is said to undergo intense training for vocals and dance under the Viva Management Group for two years. I can say that their vocals are really good (they sounded like a real pop group sensation and very promising indeed), but the dance moves lack some intense (see the music video below). XLR8 is said to debut in the upcoming Sunday musical variety show of GMA-7, Party Pilipinas.
Anyway, before their debut on the said show, XLR8 has released their first single "You're So Hot" with music video that premiered last Saturday in the music channel MYX (an affiliate of ABS-CBN). XLR8's carrier single created some buzz on the Internet these past few days because of the alleged plagiarism issue of the "You're So Hot" single. A lot of fans would say that the beat used in "You're So Hot" really sounded like Super Junior's "Sorry, Sorry" single. But hey... I think Viva Records is trying something new here that will uplift Original Pilipino Music (OPM) to the next level. Pop sensations are really hot worldwide, especially in the Asian market... so why not go with the flow, right? I think Viva Records should be thanked for what they are doing! Kudos Viva Entertainment Company for doing such!

A few weeks from now and it is already May 10, 2010. It's time for us registered voters to vote who we think deserves a position in the 2010 Elections. The government is preparing for a nationwide automated election system. In the history of elections in the Philippines, this is the very first time our country will experience such an election process. Will all of these suddenly happening in our country, a question may have been raised: Are we ready to vote?
The Automated Election System (AES) is the product of the Republic Act 8436 or the Election Modernization Act which was mandated to become the Republic Act 9369. The mandated act tells us that we must used the AES in the voting process in the Philippines. This machine is called an Automated Counting Machine.
A lot of people are afraid of this new election system that will be implemented this coming election. That is why, a lot of people from different sectors of society and organizations are coming up with the idea of teaching voters (new and old) with the use of different media such as the television, radio, prints, billboards, and even the Internet. Below are some election-related videos that will give us a brief history of the election processes in the Philippines and that will teach us voters on how to vote using the automated election system. The first and third videos are in Taglish (tagalog-english) language.

Five (5) Easy Steps to Vote in Election 2010 Instructional Video
The following election-related video below was presented to you by http://www.we-watch.net/ a non-profit organization. Once again, the video was made using a Taglish form of language. But worry no more because I have translated the most important part of the video, which is the five easy steps to vote in election 2010. Very informative, indeed! If you can't follow what was spoken in the video, below is a translated script version.
Five (5) Easy Steps to Vote in Election 2010
1) Introduce yourself to the BEI or to the Board of Election Inspectors. When your name has been confirmed and has been matched to their official list of voters, the BEI will give you an official ballot, a marker, and a secrecy folder. Remember, they come in 3's!
When you already have the ballot, go to the voting area. It is better if you already have a list of names of candidates that you are going to vote. Always remember not to fold, crumple, or make your official ballot dirty. Be careful with your ballot. Don't put marks on the barcodes on the sides of your ballot. If ever, the PCOS (precint count optical scan) will not read your votes anymore, making your ballot void.
2) Using the given marker, shade the circle that corresponds to your desired candidate to vote. Always remember that there is a correct shading process of the circles on your ballot. Also, make sure that the number of shaded circles will not surpass the number of needed vote/s in a certain position. OVERVOTINGis strictly prohibited. If so, your vote/s will once again not be counted by the PCOS.
3) When the shading of your ballot has been done, approach the PCOS machine and insert your ballot. Look for the screen of the PCOS machine and wait for the for message: "Congratulations, your vote has been registered."
4) Return the marker and the secrecy folder to the Board of Election Inspector.
5) Don't forget to have your right index finger marked with indelible ink. Also, don't forget to put your thumbmark on the EBBCL.
But wait, our participation as a voter never ends on the voting process alone. We must act to guard the safety of our votes. Let us act to watch our votes against election frauds and anomalies!

Korean idol groupFT Island is in the country right now to perform on stage at the PICC Plenary Hall for their concert to give their fans some gratitude for supporting them even though they are from South Korea. Philippine-based fangirls of FT Island gathered together in ABS-CBN's SHOWTIME to give support to their most favorite korean idol group. And it was just this morning that FT Island performed in SHOWTIME TV show on ABS-CBN. Five Treasure Island, or FT Island, is a five member South Korean idol group boy band. They are composed of Lee Hongki on main vocals, Lee Jae Jin on Bass, vocals, and rap, Choi Jong Hun as the Leader of the band, on guitar, and keyboard, Choi Min Hwan on drums, and Song Seung Hyun on guitar, vocals, and rap. Of the five members mentioned, Lee Honki is said to be the most visible of them all. He recently appeared in the Korean romantic drama series, You're Beautiful. I have been watching this romantic korean drama "You're Beautiful" or "He's Beautiful" this past few days and I all I can say is that I am enjoying every moment on each episode that I am watching. You're Beautiful is a one-of-a-kind romantic-comedy korean series that tackles the behind-the-camera lives of a popular (fictional) pop idol group in South Korea named A.N. Jell led by vocalist Hwang Tae Kyung, a neat-freak, obsessive-compulsive guy who somehow has an attitude that cannot go along with others. The story revolves around A.N. Jell's journey with newfound member, Go Mi Nam and their quest for fame and personal reasons.

Go Mi Nyu is a sister-in-training.
