A British iPhone 3G customer bought his iPhone in a store in Kingston Upon Hull, United Kingdom (UK) was shocked when he found out that his iPhone 3G includes a set of cutesy pictures of a Chinese (or Taiwanese) girl who works in a manufacturing company of iPhone (reportedly known as Foxconn) somewhere in Asia, most probably in Taiwan or in China. According to PCWorld, "The story behind "iPhone Girl" is this: A British iPhone customer turned on his new iPhone only to discover a picture of a cute young Chinese factory "girl" assembling iPhones (particularly iPhone 3GSs). In the photo she gives the victory (or maybe peace) sign. The iPhone owner reported his finding on MacRumors.com along with posting three pictures of the "girl" he found on his phone (below)."
Amazingly, because of her (iPhone girl) instant fame, forumers are eager to know what's the name of this cutesy Chinese girl who is making iPhone 3Gs. A fan at gizmodo.com even made some cool wallpaper size photos of the iPhone Girl.
I think our iPhone Girl couldn't handle fame at all because according to a Washington Post report, Foxconn says the young woman in the photo is a migrant worker from Hunan province and is overwhelmed by the media attention and wants to quit her job, go home, and remain anonymous (source).
