Assessment on Scheduled Posting in Blogger!

Allen of Silkenhut.com and I were just experimenting this morning about this new feature on blogger called scheduled posting. Yes, blogger.com has finally released it's own version of scheduled posting like that of wordpress' Timestamp scheduled post. Before I give you my assessment, here's how to scheduled post in blogger:

1. Log in http://draft.blogger.com instead of http://www.blogger.com.
2. Post as usual. However, there is something you got to do. Click on Post Options at the bottom of your typing area (this is where you type your entries), change the desired date and time of schedule, and click on Publish Post. You must see a message similar to the one below.

3. Go back to your original dashboard by changing the URL name "draft" by typing in "www" and you will see your original Edit Post page. Assessment after the click.

Assessment:
After doing a test on this, Allen and I found out that there is a bug on this new feature. The post that you save doesn't have any permanent links which is important when posting. The title for the link only points out to the main URL of my blog. If you are using a continue reading feature like I do... the continue reading will not work! (Meaning, you cannot read this point of the blog entry if I post this article on scheduled post.)

I was hopeful and excited actually about this new feature on blogger, however, continue reading features allow me to monitor which of my entries are being read by my visitors, and if having scheduled posting only points my continue reading feature to the main URL of this blog, then all of my postings that were scheduled will not be accessible to read. I allowed myself to use continue reading because I usually write long paragraphs, similar to this one.

But if you want to continue on scheduled posting, Allen has a more precise instructions than me. I will not force anyone to use or not to use this feature. It's everyone's prerogative. Hehehe. You can find it here. I guess Allen, I still want to pursue cheat posting in blogger! I am still hopeful that blogger.com could fix this bug. It's fun to have this, actually!
